Backup and restore
Overwrite or Append, multiple sets per cartridge, fail-fast on checksum mismatch. MAM summary attributes are written after a backup.

MaksIT.LTO.Backup
LTO tape backup and restore for Windows and Linux.
Console, Avalonia UI, and worker share one service layer. Backup and restore use AES-GCM encrypted descriptors and SHA-256 file checks. The current line is 0.1.0-alpha.2. The validated path is the emulator; physical tape and changer are not hardware-proven yet.
Drive and library
Load, eject, short erase, status, cartridge memory, and barcode. Inventory and move medium. The worker schedules libraries only; a standalone drive stays manual.

On the machine
Settings in %AppData%\MaksIT\LTO Backup\settings.json. The descriptor key lives in secret.txt or the LTO_BACKUP_SECRET variable.
Status
Prerelease. Use at your own risk. Tests run on the emulator, without a physical tape.
Platforms
Windows (portable zip and UI setup) and Linux (UI Flatpak). Emulated mode needs no hardware.
Requirements
Windows or Linux. Building from source needs the .NET 10 SDK. Physical tape on Windows needs administrator rights; on Linux it needs access to /dev/nst* and /dev/sg*.
